Q:  What is SuperCamp?
A:  Area Q traditionally holds this annual coach training in August to update and train coaches on the latest AYSO philosophies and techniques for working with youth soccer players.  This year, we have added a U10 Coach training course and a Regional Board Member course for volunteers wanting training and certification in the AYSO Management track.

Q:  Who are the instructors?
A:  Area Q is honored to have the top AYSO National and Area coach instructors leading our training courses, as well as Coach George Kuntz and the UCI Men's team.  Instructors include John Ouelette, AYSO's National Director of Coaching; Bill Finkel, the National Coach Instructor; Derek Lawther, Area Q Coach Administrator and Rick Davis, AYSO National Executive Director.

This year, we have also added a "Management" component to the Friday night break-out sessions, with Jonathan Smith, Area Management Administrator and Regional Commissioner of Region 213, as the lead instructor for a "Regional Board Member" training course.

Q:  Who should register for SuperCamp?
A:  Any coach, assistant coach or other AYSO volunteer who wishes to further their coach training and advance to the next level.  Please see the SuperCamp flyer on the "Registration" tab for pre-requisites and additional information.

Q:  What is the cost?
A:  The cost varies for each training course.  Regions within Area Q will be billed for their volunteers.  Volunteers from outside Area Q should make arrangements with their regions to submit payment in advance.  Please see the flyer on the "Registration" tab for details.

Q:  What do I need to bring?
A:  For the Saturday and Sunday field training, please come dressed to take the field and bring a note pad, pen, a chair if you'd like, and SUNSCREEN.  Continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and lunch on Saturday for the U10, U12, Intermediate and Advanced attendees will be provided.

Q:  Anything else I need to know?
A:  Contact your home region or click on the "Contact Us" tab on this Home page.

Q:  I'd like to attend, but I live out of the area.  Are there any hotels where I can stay close by?  What is there to do in and around Newport Beach?
A:  Please see the "Hotels" tab for out-of-area attendees.  Area Q has made arrangements with the Ayres Hotel, Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, 2300 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa.  Mention "Area Q SuperCamp - Soccer Coaches" when you call to receive special reduced rates if you make your reservations by July 31st!   The Newport Beach Visitor's Center web site offers more information about what to do in and around Newport Beach.

Q:  What address should I mail payment to?
A:  Mail payment to:  SuperCamp Registration, AYSO Region 97, PO Box 1848, Newport Beach, CA 92659
